the typical: NYE resolutions

every year, at the very end of it, most of us are bound to be prompted one way or another with the impending question: “what are your new year resolutions?”

i had the urge to write all about this. because.. Today I happened to swing by a Popular Bookstore outlet and browsed some of their fine selection of december-issue magazines and tabloids (they just never refrain customers from ruining copies and copies of unsold magazines, eh).

on the last day of christmas…

my meddled brain gave to me; a coupla’ of crazy-ass dreams! consisting of:

1. Taking an elevator with a couple of friends, and suddenly the most annoying thing happens, the lift rises to the 12th storey to pick up a bunch of power-suited people and a man in a wheelchair. It’s become dangerously packed as a sardine can, and when i hit the doors close, the lift doesn’t descend like it should, it plunges. Fast. I am the only one screaming. WTF?
2. The most bizzare thing happened? I flew out of the lift, and kinda floated in the shaft while I trailed the speeding lift downwards.

steampunk fashions. mm.

I like the marriage of industrial and goth/aristocrat. Add a spoonfuls of future-retro in it…

…And you get steampunk I’ve been checking Steampunk Fashions’s livejournal for awhile and with a jolt of inspiration I went looking for some steampunk-esque stuff over the weekend, so far I got these under $40 at the army market, and unfortunately they don’t stock this colour, and only one pair in a dull shade of green. I know it’s not made of win yet, it’s close, still, so give me props for this, kay?

Can’t really find good stuff around Singapore, so I journeyed through the æternet for some potentially good buys. Here’s what I really liked at Retroscope Fashions.
